The 13th Room: Mens Initiation

where you have those honest conversations
at 3:00am

You’ve already been there.

For 3 years, I lived in that room
each night the most honest conversations

I will never drink again.
I will quit my job.
I will tell my wife I love her.
I will tell my kids I am sorry.
I will tell my friends the truth.

The 13th Room is for initiation

The 13th Room is where men go
to change themselves

something is wrong

can you remember

Can you remember the fun times at work? The jokes. The drinks after hours.
There was a community. There was connection.

Can you remember the fun times with your family? Going away, spontaneous evening meals out. Lazy holidays, romance and intimacy.
Do you still have this? The meals, the laughter, the intimacy, the hugs.

No more jokes at the office. No conversation beyond what needs doing.
No time for the gym. No golf.
You haven’t been out in months.
Functional. Successful. Bored

One too many in the bar after work. Still showing up.
Nightcap at home.
But is there joy in it?
Or is it just a different location, same silence?

The person lying next to you in bed – is she your lover or your roommate?
Not had a conversation with your kids beyond a nod and “How are you?”

the cost

The true cost tomorrow?

It could be your relationship.
It could be your business.
It could be a crash you didn’t see coming.
It could be a heart attack.

The heart attack stops you in your tracks. And you know it.
She says, “I cannot do this anymore.” And you know it.
Your reputation is at risk. And you know it.
You’ve nearly made one too many mistakes. And you know that day is coming.

I see you.
I’ve been you.
I was you.

I have the scars to prove it.

I had two choices:
– continue with the lies – until there was nothing left.
– ask for help and choose life.

I chose life

The empty underneath is identical.

So I built it the 13th room

Twelve is the system.
Calendar. Jury. Disciples. Organised, contained, and complete. The world handed it to you and called it enough.
None of it was built for you. It was built to hold you.
Every tradition that ever looked honestly at human transformation put the sacred thing outside the system.

Thirteen is not unlucky. Thirteen is inconvenient – to the performance, to the system, to the constricted 12

Twelve wasn’t enough for me either.

I woke in that room at 3:00 a.m. and promised everything would change – but by the time I got up, the mask was already back on.

the 13th room is

NO JUDGMENT.
NO shame.
NO APPLAUSE.

In the Room

The 13th Room Sessions

Online – In person

What Happens in the Room

There is no agenda. No worksheet. No homework.
There is structured work – The Reckoning, Where You Stand, The Map Room.
And inside that structure, there is space.

Space to say the thing you have never said to another person. To role-play the conversation you are terrified to have – with your wife, your business partner, your father.
I ask questions. I notice what you are not saying. I do not tell you what to do next. I do not have a framework for your life.

The Work

This is not therapy. This is not coaching.

Three processes. Each one goes deeper.

Remember who you were, before all of this

There is a process to get there.

The Reckoning shows you who you already are – what you have built, survived, and felt.
Where You Stand places you in your exact coordinates, without illusion.
And then the questions – deliberate, uncomfortable, and yours alone – begin to build the Surveyor’s Report of the man who was always there.

Three stages. One direction. Forward.

what you leave with

Clarity. Not the kind that comes from finally making a decision. The kind that comes from seeing the man underneath all of it โ€” without the performance running, without anyone needing anything from you. He has been there the whole time. You just couldn’t find him through the noise.

Self-respect. Not earned through what you’ve achieved, protected, or provided. Earned by being witnessed, once, honestly, by someone who needed nothing from you. That doesn’t leave you.

Movement. Out of the loop you’ve been running for years. Not because someone told you what to do next. Because you finally saw why you kept stopping.

Reclamation. Not becoming someone new. Finding the man who was always there – before the performance started, before you learned to keep yourself safe instead of alive.

Reality check. Not a sell.
